When Abuse Runs Rampant...

Link

"He told me not to breath a word," she said. "He spoke to the men and left me with them. I didn't say anything and was terrified because they, too, were men."

The above is a quote from a girl who was raped by her rescuer during the tsunami. I'm absolutely sickend by these low lifes sexually abusing women and children in the temporary camps they are living in. Violence against women pisses me off!! I'm disgusted by what parasites humans have become. Now this is just my opinion, but anyone who uses violence and abuse against women and children and doesn't have anything positive to contribute to the world needs to put in front of a firing squad. I've gotten to a point where I have no compassion for any one who commits these terrible acts against women and children.

As if this weren't enough, the U.N. also announced that the "peacekeepers""they have deployed to the Congo to protect it's citizens from their long civil war are also sexually abusing young girls.

If you haven't done so already I strongly encourage you to make whatever monetary donation you can make to Unicef, Redcross or the Global Fund for Women. "Women hold up more than half the sky" someone from China said must verify who. Just a disclaimer: This entry isn't posted to depress you but to create awareness and prompt you to take action.

And you are rightly infuriated by this.

The violence against women must stop, it works at so many different levels that even women are not aware they are victims of some form of violence.

What pisses me off the most when you read the note you posted is that now the girl is the one facing social isolation, she being the victim, unbelievable.

I know that locally authorities need to be trained to be more sensitive to victims.
