Merlot, Salt and Other Wonders of the World

Link

I'm on my Mercedes Sosa and Merlot kick again. This is my small luxury of the day. Today, on the bus the driver looked into her rear view mirror and it felt like she was looking right at me and said, "the CTA is going to take your money, you folks are goin' to be waitin' in the cold this winter, that man is goin' to hold this whole citay hostage, wid him askin' for 64 million dollars." A woman lost in a big coat replies, "He sho is dat greedy man, we goin' ta have ta get us some rolla skates dis wintar!"

Of course, I totally agree with them. Those bastards are going to impact the riders and their employees with route cuts. You can easily raise 64 million by raising your advertising rates. What are wrap around bus ads going for nowadays? Tis the season to be merry.

Well I haven't done any Holiday cards, nor holiday shopping because of my miniscule gift budget. Either I have money to get on the bus or I buy tons of gifts. If I had the moolah I would be passing gifts out left and right. I love gift giving!! Chomping on Oyster crackers for dinner. I wonder where oh where is the Chinese food. I'm too lazy to cook today and the appointed chef of the day is no where to be found.

Tortillas y Chile for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My mom's saying as she would describe in horror what the cuisine on my tia's ranch is. Nonetheless, I've always been a big fan of tortillas y chile. Got that from my dad's side.

I'm wondering, well actually it's merlot that's wondering, what is going to happen with my writing in 2005. Merlot wonders if it will loose it's place while thumbing through a program book, maybe catch a glimpse of it toasting some endeavor, putting lipstick on in the men's bathroom, singing Mercedes Sosa songs at the top of it's lungs, get a whiff of it as it walks by, hear it howling underneath a street lamp it confused for the moon? Will there be a tug of war? Yes, you betcha. Writing whether it be mine or someone else's is my oxygen without it I'd be in an urn somewhere that reads: The dust of a life unwritten. Or something silly like that...

The thought of heating up a tortilla feels absolutely exhausting. Last year, I read my end of year zodiac sign. Well it was pretty accurate. It emphasized 2005 when Aquarians
will have not one or two planets in their zodiac sign but four: Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Mars. Guess what Aquarians we will be (hopefully) crawling out of the SALT MINES. Yes, you know which ones I'm talking about. I was thinking of starting an Aquarian support group because well let's face it we are freaks and there is power in numbers.

So my final thoughts are damn you cta money gaugers, main course: writing garnished with a little insanity and definatley no more SALT!! and a glass of Merlot that sings Mercedes Sosa songs on winter nights.

Those Merlot and Mercedes Sosa combos seems to be quite a muse!

Soon, there will be plenty of salt on the roads for the Aquarians to thrive. As long as they don't mind the ice.
